Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She is an American Mexican actor. Also, she sings. She was raised by her mom within the USA she faced many racial slurs that made her feel being unwanted. After she participated in a school competition and received great praise for her performance at the age of 9 she began to feel more confident. This experience did not just help to boost her confidence, but also changed her goals in life. At the age of 22 she was a graduate of New York's Julliard School. When she turned 23, she started her professional career on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old she made her film debut in You've Got Mail. The biggest achievement of her career was when she played The Lady of The Lake in Spamalot's original Broadway production. In addition to being the only actress to get the Tony Award, but her performance was also highly praised by reviewers. Her fame grew by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. As a well-known singer, she has also recorded a song and a play. Also, she is a campaigner and has been active to promote LGBT rights.
