Zoe-perry
Perry was born on July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Perry made her debut on television as Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on Roseanne, an ABC comedy Roseanne. In fear of stress, her parents didn't want to see her pursue acting before she turned age 18. Perry she was timid to perform in the school, began performing in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Following her graduation, Perry moved into New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought the actress back to California which is where she discovered theater jobs. She and her mother starred on Broadway together in The Other Place, in 2013. She performed with their father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played a lead role in the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on ABC's drama The Family. Perry was a regular character in the ABC drama about politics Scandal, starring her dad. She was also cast in The CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. She was cast in the role through an open audition despite being connected to the persona.
