Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American writer and actress, best known for portraying Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. In the 1950s, she began her career as an actress on stage in Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. Then she appeared in a number of Broadway shows before becoming a star on national stage together with Li'l Abner, in the year 1957. She also released her first album of music, It's Time For Tina in the same year. Louise made her foray into Hollywood acting as Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre a drama film released 1958.The film was praised widely as well as Louise received an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. She enrolled in Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's pupil. Another notable character she portrayed was Ginger Grant, which CBS hired her with in 1964. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood and Broadway in roles that were more serious in order to dispel her image as a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1, and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In the last few years she's also been a popular director for well-known TV series like Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. She and her family moved to Toronto when she was three and she continued to live there throughout her childhood and adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the role, and has remained to Toronto since then.
